The printer is working! You should be able to use your laptop, but it's ok to keep using a desktop computer. Be sure to complete Units 1-4, print them and turn them in for a grade. Next week we will go over the sheets as part of a review for the final.

Go to the site ToonDoo and create an account. It's easy to use. Just play with it, or look for a tutorial you want to watch.

You will use this site to create a fractured fairy tale cartoon.
Browse through the characters first, so you can decide what your fairy tale will be about.
Then, tell your story in at least three slides, or create a single slide cartoon that tells a complete story or makes a joke about a character. (Example: Cinderella complains about how she can't get her work done because she keeps being interrupted by the strange little old woman.)

PICK THREE BOOKS IN THE SAME GENRE

You will create bookmarks and a book display for 3 books in one genre (ex. historical fiction, biography, mystery, romance, paranormal, dystopian).
Get your book choices and genre approved BEFORE starting to work.
a) After approval, create your bookmarks and email them to me to be printed in color. Then we will cut them out and laminate them.

Use them along with the books you select to create a book display on one of the shelves in NEW BOOKS.
b) Then write a synopsis or book review (about half page) for each of the three books. Include the synopsis of the 3 books in your display.

Be sure to include an eye-catching genre heading and some realia in your display.
Post a picture of your display on your main page.

1/8 Pick your three books, get approval. Create the three bookmarks and email them to cshinn@asheboro.k12.nc.us. Bookmarks are due Tues., 1/8
1/9 Work on display (signage, synopses, realia). Complete assignment by 1/10.

a) Look under the Book Tab in the AHS Library Media Center LiveBinderon the main library page for more Book Talks and reviews.
b) Formats may include: Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Prezi or Glogster. If you copy pictures or information,
your sites must be appropriately cited. Failure to do so will result in a failing grade.
c) Once created, put your reviews on your main page in the wiki.
